Boris Remixed by Optimo and Todd Edwards
. Scion/AV sponsored Japanese noise/metal/rock band Boris gets taken to the disco in these two excellent re-mixes by Optimo and Todd Edwards. Both remixes are giant departures from the original (I don’t think I hear a single guitar), but sound great! The Optimo take on the song is a cosmic disco exploration on the theme. The song begins with tribal drum beats and minimal droning harmonies then evolves slowly into a heavenly, pulsing, beautiful 10 minute electronic hymn. The Todd Edwards version focuses on the original songs vocal track, processing it with autotune. The back beat is a pumping house cadence sure to bring people to the dance floor. I love Todd Edwards’ fun choppy sample melodies and bouncy bass lines. Dance floor candy!
