Self Promo Alert: BvL Live in Seattle, SF + LA This Week
Hi! I just finished recording my next album and am playing a few shows this week with my Binary homies Keenhouse and Lexicon Don as part of their Pacific Lights tour. On Tuesday December 8 we’re playing in Seattle at Nectar Lounge, 412 N 36th St; and then after the show we’re getting back in the van and driving 800 miles to San Francisco to play “The Rumble: Holiday Electro Dance Central” at Harlot (46 Minna in SF) the very next night, Wednesday December 9th (click here to RSVP for free admission). Then on Saturday, December 12, I’ll be back in LA to play with D/A/D, Laco$te and Icy Lytes at HM157 (“Best Underground Cheap Date Night” – LA Weekly) which is at 3110 N. Broadway, LA, CA 90031. No flyer yet but I’ll post one when it’s ready.
Speaking of live-ness, I just rediscovered a lo-fi, one take recording of a rehearsal for a few shows I did with my fellow Disco Workout-er Johnatron in 2007 (he’s on the beats and bass synth, I’m “singing” and playing the high synth stabs). Hearing this again made me laugh and cry at the same time, and I do so hope its occasional moments of dissonance have a similarly emotionally dissonant effect on you.
