Thieves Like Us

Sometimes when lots of people like a track it’s for a good reason. I’m pretty convinced this is the case with “Drugs in My Body” by Thieves Like Us. I saw the ad for this about five hundred times and I really had no fucking clue what it was, nor did I really care. I just thought, oh cool, .. really anorexic french kids doing whip its? Not clicking that image. Snooore. Holy shit was I missing out! I’m obsessed with this song. The video is even more wonderfully amazing. I love captures of cityscapes and car rides.

I especially like the scenes of teenagers running, breaking things. It’s interesting how exhilarating it is to deconstruct, destroy and be irresponsible. Sometimes you feel more alive at those points then when you are following order.

P.S. If you live in the bay area you should check out my friend Paul Solis‘ art show. It’s THIS Tuesday, November 20th 5-8pm at the ZZAs Winebar, 550 Grand Ave. in Oakland, CA. FREE FOOD! Plus, his art is awesome.
