Disco Sunday #18/Best of 2007 Runner Up: Steed Lord
Flurg, I’m a little internetted out right now but I hate to miss our weekly rendez-vous – this this Disco Sunday thing we have, just me and you. Icelandic disco-electro superstars Steed Lord’s “You” is a track that I’ve been meaning to post for, like, the entire year, but it’s been around the blog block a bit so I kept putting it off. But I love the simplicity, humor and retro-future whiplash too much not to post before the end of the year, which is tomorrow. Plus, it’s nice to cover contemporary stuff in this series every now and then. Lastly, the band sounds nothing like what they look like, which is nice. And they have have a clothing line with H+M which is very colorful.

There are lots of remixes of this track floating around, some of which you can grab on their Myspace blog. But I think the original is the best, and the one I always play when I DJ. It’s really sunny out and I’m gonna reward myself with summadat now.
