Distance, Chautauqua, Thoughtlessness
Busy Times consume me. I want to write a sincere and thoughtout post and yet I am restricted by my call of duty (since I only write and post here on Disco Workout while I am at my “real” job). Perhaps it’ll be nice to cut through the bullshit and get straight to the crème.
Get Get On Down by Distance, is a pretty rare disco boogie thumper from ‘81 in the 45 format. In my mind, things are rare if they aren’t on Discogs, and well…this isn’t (yet) on Discogs. Enjoy!
Also, I’m posting up a teaser/sampler of a new project that I am entangled in called Chautauqua. Its a collaboration that I’m doing with Loose Shus, with a 4 track EP coming out on May 22nd. Chautauqua represents the elements of New Age, Funk, Space Disco, Ethereal Workout Music, Shoe-Gaze, and Sci-Fi Horror; aka the cosmic intricacies of nature, fantasy, and electro. No doubt I’ll be posting about that again, but for now check the teaser!
