Flooding your periphery

Siriusmo is the shit
Sometimes I get wrapped up in a ball of cranky, but then it becomes quickly unraveled by the bouncy delight of cute electronica. Perhaps it’s not accurate to say “cute”, but that’s been my favorite word as of late. It’s hands free bicycle riding with two of your best friends and day light savings time just happened ten hours previously. That’s right fuckers. Happiness is cool again.
While making my way aimlessly around the internet I’ve grabbed some awesome finds that have zero correlation except that they make me happy. I found out about Pnau through Bigstereo.net. They made a prediction they would be one of the most popular bands of 08. I think this is quite true. Their music is a good mix of the knife/cut copy/justice. All of those slashes could have very well turned you off, but don’t let them. The track I listed, “Embrace”, is much more like early Berlin a la “The Metro.”
I also found a wicked disco whistle track by Siriusmo. I previously posted Siriusmo’s “Girls Rock” which has been my club anthem as of late, but “Simple” is dance floor giddiness. Bleep. Ahhh. System overload. And – one more track! A track that has resuscitated me back to enjoying sunlight – Cut Copy’s “Lights and Noise (Boys Noize Happy Birthday Remix)”. I think this is only appropriate since it’s my good friend Jess’ birthday and I’m djing at the Beauty Bar tonight with the guys from Short Shortzz. Holla-rific… this track is cutesy. Yes! Cutesy.
