Johnatron Edit Wednesday #51
Its been a couple of weeks since I posted any new edits so I had this great idea to do a complete re-edit of something. Then I restarted and restarted and restarted. In the end I did something that is borderline cringeworthy. Maybe it can get lots of play at Ruby Skye or your local danceclub with dudes wearing crappy dress shirts and patent leather shoes. It’s alright I guess. Better look next week dear internet surfers.

How would I know that I’d hate it? I actually thought I’d like it as I liked the original Pryda track so much. But I didn’t.

Prydz isn’t just bridge and tunnel material. The guy makes some great music. Too bad everyone in the Bay is so caught up on blog house.
Also, why would you put up something that’s admittadly cringeworthy? Make something good, not something you have to make excuses for.
Listen, I never said it was horrible. Its funny though. Some of it is catchy.
By the way though Cuspid, its not like people in the Bay Area don’t know about Prydz. Thats like saying they don’t know about Tiesto. Its not that everyone is caught up on “blog house” and Eric Prydz isn’t getting a fair shot. Its just what SOME, not all, prefer.
Also Cuspid, I’ve put up plenty of great edits, remixes, and songs. The thing about FREE SONGS ON THE INTERNET is that I did not make you pay for them. I offered you a chance to listen to something and see if you like it. I’ll record an hour of vomit sounds and you don’t have to download it. It doesn’t really matter is the real point here.
Cuspid and Matt, please keep reading and please feel free to submit any tracks that you have made and I will gladly post them.
I never said people in the Bay Area don’t know about Prydz. I said there appears to be a greater interest in shitty, flash in the pan blog house, rather than just straight up house music. Though music like Prydz can be considered cheesy and perhaps does appeal to the larger ‘crappy dress shirt’ community, so what? How is this any different from the ironic mustache + deep v-neck set? Though I’ve never gone to Ruby Skye I’m almost certain I’d rather be there than the hipster crapcake that is Blow Up.
I don’t particularly like the edit you put up because it reeks of novelty. I do applaud the fact that you host a great number of original tracks but I also think you have a certain responsibility to make good use of that pedestal. You’re obviously getting a decent amount of traffic to the site.
this is dog crap. i can do better on virtual dj or acid pro than this crp. sync the beats man, they arnt even in tune. as for ripping the guy for downloading it and wasting his time, you sure wasted your time with this.
