GANYMED
Ganymed is a late seventies disco outfit that lies somewhere between space rock and funk. I was kind of blown away when I found a video on youtube of them performing on German TV. The chick was so flaming hot, but the dudes were in mutant-alf-like space outfits with apparently dicks for noses (yep). You’d imagine the music would be trite or kitschy considering their outfits, but it’s italo disco magic. In 1979 they achieved true Euro-Disco success with “It Takes Me Higher.”

of couurrrse italo disco is the definition of kitsch HAHA, but GANYMED… trumps the kitsch card.
