Ahhh, it’s Ken Laszlo! Or in other words – more italo disco you can’t live without. I had to go on Serbian electronic message boards to get this mp3 file, but it was well worth it because good euro-beat is a hard find. The song is, I’m guessing, about a male escort. That voice in the beginning is supposed to be a woman? Are you fucking kidding. It’s so obviously a dude.. haha. I love italo-disco’s cheap budgets! Regardless of the creepy beginning the song was a huge smash in Europe in 1984. The lyrics are amusing and almost nonsensical, but the beat is amazing. The intro synth riff makes my skin tingle. And, interestingly enough, Ken Laszlo still makes music. I’m not really sure if I’m a fan of his current productions, but “Hey Hey Guy” lives on in the italo-disco hall of fame. The video is priceless and dated, be sure to check it out.
