Shinratek + The Schieles remix the Historics
So, I got an email from a NYC resident named Shinratek informing me that he and the Schieles were asked to do a remix of a new band called the Historics. Lots of names strung together, no? Looking beyond the confusing cluster of names I really enjoyed their minimal yet melodic remixing of a rock band. It seems that the Historics are a new band comprised of members from Vietnam, Sea & Cake, Maroon 5 and others. Yes, Maroon 5…. a band that never seems to be off the playlist at my corporate chain restaurant. But, I am supremely pleased and loving the macabre-like mix Shinratek and the Schieles have composed.

this is one of the most original track that i’ve heard in a while. it incorporates a lot of the nostalgic sounds that i grew up with and yet its still so experimental in its melody structures. are there any more tracks by this band? please let me know. thank you.
