Baby’s Gang Loves America

Children with broken english singing over electro beats? Pure magic. I have tried to research the shit out of Baby’s Gang and I think there’s literally no information on them. I was able to find out they were on Memory Records, a minorly succesful italo-disco label until house music took over the dance scene, and were partly produced by label owners Anfrando Maiola and Stefano Cundari. As usual, the subject matter is absurd… but it’s the production that really makes the tracks a must listen. “America” and “My Little Japanese Boy” are fascinating mostly because so much modern electro seems to rip off their style. The choppy vocal samples and children singing (Justice, PNAU) are mainstays of electro “bangers.”
