Forever young.

I’m not one to glamorize youth, but the inhibitions and excitement that accompany it make life amazingly overwhelming. Watching Reflex’s self-produced video for “Night Jam A” curls this feeling along my veins even more. Reflex’s music reflects those pulsating nerves that often preoccupy our youth. The fleeting crushes and the memories of one night stands permanently burned into our mental space. The video captures the warmth of the sunlight that breaks the ground along San Francisco’s beaches.
From his “Night Jams” EP coming out in November, I have featured “Night Jam A” and the Night Jam Mix, which I highly recommend. It’s the loveliest way to either ease into or ease out of your wasted disco night, depending on your flavor. It’s mellow and sultry, just the way I like it.
Here’s a little blurb from Reflex himself;
“I made this entire album in one night, the first three tracks A-C are just some short songs to listen to, its a slower album not to dance crazy too but to just listen to.
The last track is a ten minute mix with all the tracks on the album combined and some more noises to connect them all, It was all done (Production & Live Set) With Ableton Live and my Korg Zero4 mixer.None of the songs or the set were just made on a timeline, I used the mixer to literally cue all the elements of the song on tempo, play out the beat at the same time, and triggered switches to chop up the melodies.”
