Guts and gore galore

Lurking beneath every empty dark house is a frightful demon waiting to shred your soul into pieces, or at least that is what is lurking beneath Gatekeeper’s house. Gatekeeper has imagined an electronic world full of gothic terror and endless nights of ghoulish haunting. The tracks even come complete with empty choir vocals much like the disturbing echoes of a chase scene in am italian horror flick. “Final Approach” is reminiscent of my childhood fear of the dark, while “Tides” is the creeps you get when you come home and the house is empty in the middle of the night. “Religious” is one of the phrases used to describe Gatekeeper’s music and I can easily see the reason why since both tracks sound like a soundtrack for an exorcism.

After being creeped to shit it’s time to wind down, lounge with a cup of coffee and mope in your favorite chair for Christov’s “Night Skies.” This track has a low-key disco beat that is reminiscent of that Lindstrom sound we all (mostly all) adore. Night Skies is a slow retreat into a dimly lit bar with few occupants, but deep ambiance.
