Super awesome remixes

Before I go into my little rants/explanations of the following mixes I have to put this on blast: the johnatron&bearbaby mix is finished! I am posting it sometime this week ? And I am.. beyond ecstatic. It’s my third nipple. My firstborn. Anyway..
I fell in love with Ghost in the Water’s remix of 80s Stallone the instant they posted it on their myspace. Oh my lord. It completely captures the doe-eyed angst of an eighties teenager pre-prom. It closely reminds me of the poignant depth of OMD’s Dazzle Ships and that whole early eighties new-romantic movement. It’s a style that is similar to a lot of the new retro, but has a more emotional twist. Ghost in the Water delicately remixed the bleakness of the original and turned it into a sentimental trip.

Hemingway stressed every line of his membranes in making this track and it wreaks of his hard work. Hemingway is constantly impressing me with his ability to capture a perfect melting pot of yacht-disco and bass heavy jam-electro. His remix of the Norwegian band the Pelific’s “Forever” is no exception to his devotion to making an amazing remix. His recent remix of Christov’s “Estella’s Invitation” was a crashing crescendo of filtered disco rainbows, so it comes as no surprise that his new remix is equally heart warming.

After going through the alt-Reagan era nostalgia tunnel Freak You’s remix of “Real Digitel 123″ brings you back to a darkly electro dance floor. Cyndi Seui is a lit-up producer who produces bouncy and eclectic candy synth tracks in Bangkok, Thailand. Freak You is a French resident who exudes space-like depth in his high energy yet dark electro tracks. The mixture of the two has created a touching tribute to empty nights in dimly lit metropolises. Freak You’s remix of “Real Digitel 123″ seems to illuminate the loneliness that haunts the dark alleys of city nights.
