FAUX PAS has left me floored

I think a bunch of unicorns just shit out clear prism rainbows then delicately pranced over diamond fences… Seriously Faux Pas is remarkably experimental yet melodically soothing. I have to give great thanks to Waves at Night for turning me onto this. At first I felt a little out of my element listening to it since it wasn’t the disco house I’ve immersed myself in as of late, but there’s something about it that is magnetically charming. And, anytime you pull yourself out of your ritual consciousness new and exciting things are sure to arrive, right? I feel that way about Faux Pas’s music and videos.

“Chasing Waterfalls” is like an eccentric plane ride through an acid candy land. I love it, it’s a trip how it goes through different stages almost in its progression through beach, club and space scenes. Then there’s “Renfield’s Dream” which is a ghostly trip through a caribbean island. It feels kind of like a lingering spirit waiting to hear one last track before surrendering to the other world. Faux Pas has kindly released a four track EP for free, featuring the two songs below. Makes it doubly enjoyable since you don’t have to scrounge up the quarters to listen.
