Die! // Farah
Farah, the Texas-based protegé of Montreal’s newest resident Johnny Jewel, is starting to grow on me. Her speak-song technique didn’t impress me much on After Dark, but this new demo is under my skin in a severely affecting way. Six words over twisting chords and soft melodies. Just simple lines intertwining, very much influenced by Mozart and Bach, and sort of in between those. It’s like a Mach piece, really.
