Airys: Italian Electro Pop

I think I’ve just been shuffled into a sun-bleached italian summer after listening to Airys. Information about them is pretty elusive, but the vocalist is apparently Syria. She seems to be popular in her home country and after some google research I found out she did the italian version of Disney’s Mulan theme song. Bonus! She is way cute. Interesting…. !
“Vedi in Te” is just way too poppy-sweet for me to ignore. I have been in a bleak mood of sorts, but after waking up with 70 degree weather listening to this just made perfect sense. It whirls in giddy circles, like being twelve years old sucking on a lollipop in June. The other track “Tutto Quello Che Hai” has an odd charm to it. It’s a remix by NT89, who’s apparently a drum&bass producer, so I’m not quite sure what the original sounds like. I’m not generally into blipping electro-pop, but something about it clings to my ears.
