Bogdan Irkük remixes Sally Shapiro

Lizard in a Woman’s Skin (1971)
I recently watched “Lizard in a Woman’s Skin,” which was possibly one of the most surrealistic and psychedelic italian films to have ever been produced in the early seventies. The film involved murder, freudian analysis, soft lesbian dream sex, and acid-like dream sequences. I imagine if Sally Shapiro and Bogdan Irkuk made an album together it would be something along the lines of a psychedelic italian film about the confusing line between dreams and reality. Bogdan Irkuk can honestly do no wrong in his ethereal italo melodies. I was so pleased when this was emailed over to us since my itunes has been totally consumed by Irkuk’s other tracks recently. He’s done a fabulous job of making Shapiro’s slightly icey love ballad more unnerving and desperate. Though the track has a feeling of quiet panic it still holds onto the original’s romantic longing. Sally Shapiro’s 12inch “Miracle” is being released on Permanent Vacation records online Friday and on vinyl Monday. Mwah. <3
