Michael Jackson: Naked

Arguably the greatest performer of all time passed away this past Thursday, and we at Disco Workout have yet to say a word about him. In part this is because we’re all still in a State of Shock. And in part its because there have been more than enough tributes on TV, radio, and our peers (both silently erudite and sonically loquacious) and there hasn’t seemed much to add.
So here’s something you may not have heard yet: a couple of Michael Jackson acapellas courtesy of one of my favorite DJ tool sites, Acapellas.co.uk. When I first heard this first one I was nearly moved to tears, it is so breathtakingly amazing to hear him performing all of his signature squeals and squeaks in real time, as though he were just standing in the room with you. MJ’s raw emotion is all the more moving as a voice floating in space, naked without Quincy’s smelly jelly to keep it grounded.
It starts out with about 20 seconds of headphone bleed, but fear not - The Voice kicks in soon thereafter and will knock you on your bony ass.

There’s an amazing clip on Youtube of MJ doing multiple takes of his parts for We Are The World. Unfortunately it isn’t embeddable, so click here to watch his Virgo perfectionism in action. Again, his talent, sweetness and pristine professionalism are all on view, and it is inspiring.

Mj was the best u really should never judge a book by its cover mj in my eyes is beautiful his beautiful smile nice eyes high cheek bones i dnt think he looked like a freak at all and he war a kid in a grown ups body just wantin to get out i miss mj and i love him deeply he will always be in my heart
